Welcome to the second in a series of regular interviews called, 20 questions with…”

This will introduce you to the players, managers, coaches and supporters of the club.

This edition of 20 questions is with the ever popular Barry Doran. Dorno as he is known to his many friends is one of the longest  serving members of the club. Barry joined the club in 1993 which is the same year Schindlers List was first released and Ben Johnson was banned from world athletics. Barry was well known for having a quality left foot and an uncanny ability to avoid tackling anyone. As a player he won all local trophies  before going on to manage the club.  His trophy haul as a manager was  as impressive as his playing record but the clear highlight was winning the Junior cup 10 years ago when his team beat Ardoyne WMC in the show piece final.

Barry is the current vice-Chairman of the club, coaches many of the youth players and can be found every Saturday morning at the game of the youth team he manages  before going to watch the first team in the afternoon. If you cut him in half he would bleed orange and blue. Here are some of his thoughts.
